What Seek Ye?
John 1:38 Then Jesus turned and saw them following & saith unto them, “what seek ye?” They said unto Him, Rab’bi (which is to say, being interpreted, master,) where dwellest thou?
Let me ask you this, in your walk with Jesus, as you follow Him, what seek ye?
What are you in this for? Are you walking with Him just to be seen in the crowd?
(Oh, all the best dressed are going with Him! Oh, I want to be in that click! Let me go to! Hey did you know so & so goes to that church? Oh, I got to go there too! It must be a good one!)
NO?
Well, are you following Jesus because you see the miracles?
You see others being blessed and their lives being changed & you are following because you want a blessing too?
Are you looking for the 100 fold?
NO?
Well are you one of those that are following because you control everything else and you feel you have to have your hand in this too so you can say,
“WOW! See, I was a part of that! See what I did? HA! I DID THAT!
Huh?
What did you say?
Oh, Yeah, Jesus was there too, but I WROTE THE PROGRAM AND I DID ALL THIS AND THAT OR IT WOULD HAVE JUST BEEN CHAOS!
NO?
Well, what seek ye?
What are you here for?
Why are you really following Jesus?
Could if be that like Mary, you want to sit at His feet and hear Him talk?
Could it be you really want to know Him?
What seek ye?
WHAT SEEK YE?
Jesus calls us and woes us!
He draws us to Him both sinner and saint!
Backslidden and born again!
HE CALLS US ALL!
What seek ye?
Why do you follow when He calls?
Do you long for the gifts or the GIVER of the gift?
Do you long to hear His voice or is it your own praises of you that you long for?
Waiting for that next “that a boy!” & pat on the back!?!
What seek ye?
Do you follow Him just to miss hell?
What seek ye?
He longs for us! Do you long for Him?
“Oh, like the deer panteth after the water brook, my heart panteth after thee Oh, Lord!”
What seek ye?
Do you long for His touch?
Do you long to know Him?
“Depart from me ye workers of iniquity! I knew you not!”
Do you long to know Him?
DOES HE KNOW YOU?
What seek ye?
Relationship?
What seek ye?
“As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord!”
What seek ye?
Who, Me? I seek the Lord!
I seek Jesus!
