Week Eight

This is our final week in this series. Over the past 7 weeks we have been on a journey down Route 66. We have learned a lot about our walk with Jesus. This week is our final week, and we are going to cover one of the most important points in this series. So, let’s look at what God has for us today.

Most importantly … Enjoy the Ride and the company you are with. As we travel down this road our Lord has us on, we must remember that serving God is not a punishment.

I have met people that say it is hard to live for the Lord because of all the things they don’t get to do. Well, I say it is the easiest thing in the world to walk with Him because He is my friend, and he loves me and there is nothing that I CHOOSE not to do anymore that I miss or that measures with the amazing relationship I have with Him daily.

We must begin to change the way we see this. It’s not about what we can’t do, it’s about the amazing journey and everything we get to experience in His presence. When you turn your heart to Him and allow His love to begin to move, flow and work in you and in your life, He becomes our Joy and our strength.

Nehemiah 8:1 -10 The scribe Ezra was reading, and the priests were teaching the laws of Moses. It is clear that the people were weeping and weary when hearing the laws from what is says in Vs. 9 which is “And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, this day is holy unto the Lord your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.” But then in Vs. 10 Nehemiah encouraged the people and said, “Then he said unto them, go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

We can stand on this same word. It is not about the law, it’s about the joy that comes from the relationship with Jesus. I have walked a long time with our Lord Jesus, and I can tell you I was not raised in the church. I have experiences that are not Godly from before I got in the church and I can honestly tell you with a clear heart, there is nothing in this world that compares to the presence and relationship I have with my Lord Jesus.

This daily walk that I am on with Him and This great Love that we share has no comparison. I do not regret one moment nor one thing that I chose to give up in this world to walk with Him. I pray that you find the same type of love and relationship with him. He will walk with you daily. I promise you that. If you reach for Him, He will reach for you and come to you. He said if you draw nigh unto me, I will draw nigh unto you.

The Bible also says in Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

I have learned from experience that when you hide yourself in Him, he will keep you and protect you. If you allow Him to be your joy you will not get lost on this route that He has us on.

I pray this has helped you as much as it helped me. I pray that you will find a place in Jesus that will bring you into relationship and help you along your journey so that you will not get lost on your route while walking thru the 66 books of our Bible.

He will never leave you nor forsake you… So, hold fast to His Hand and enjoy this journey He has us on. Remember to look to His word and listen for His voice as you travel. I pray this has helped you as much as it helped me. God bless you all.
