I want to share a thought with you that came to me. I was watching the news, which is something I don’t normally do, and they were talking about the troubles in Afghanistan. It came to me that we are watching the Bible play out in front of our eyes. I hear the Lord saying even now, Fear not for I am with thee. Also, the scripture that says we are not created with the spirit of fear, but of peace, love and a sound mind. The other scripture says power, love and a sound mind. We just have to remember that fear is a spirit. We must stand in the face of fear and tell the devil we shall fear no evil. We have Bible to stand on for this.

I want to share with you what has been heavy on my heart in this hour. Yes, we are in the last days. We are living in dark days… It is like it is mid-night even in the middle of the day. This puts me in the mind of the 10 virgins… 5 wise and 5 foolish. My question to myself and others is do you have enough oil to bring light in these dark days? What’s that? Where does the light come from? Let’s look at that…

John 8:12. - Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall in nowise walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life …

John 9:5 - As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world

John 1:5. - And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

1 John 1:7. - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin…

Matthew 5:16. - Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven …

The spirit of a man is the candle of the Lord. Our Spirit is where the illumination of the Lord shines through… When we are filled with the Holy Ghost, His light shines through us… Just like John 9:5 says, as long as I am in the world (we are the world), I am the light of the world.

So today, let’s try really hard and I pray that Jesus will help me as I learn to allow our His light to shine through us. I try to focus on loving him and loving the ones he sends into my world. I think in these last days that is all we can do. Trust in him with our whole heart and lean not to our own understanding. He is so amazing and loves each of us so much.
