Jesus Is My Everything Bible Study Week Two

Jesus is My Everything - Week 2.

Learn to cooperate with the Holy Ghost.

While we are on this journey there will be many situations that the enemy (devil) sends to distract you from your walk with Jesus. If you draw near to him, you will learn to hear His voice and be lead by His Spirit.

     A. Romans 8:14 says For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

               a. When we allow God to lead us, He then sees us as sons of God.

               b. He said in John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

     B. 2 Peter 1:21 This book is talking about putting on the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ, but vs. 21 of this book says, “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” This lets us know that they were led by the Holy Ghost. We must learn to follow as The Spirit leads. Yielding to His loving, guiding hand.

     C. Jesus speaking here in John16:13 says, “ Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” He says here that the Spirit of truth (which according to John 14:26 is the Holy Ghost) shall guide you into all truth.

     D. Galatians 5:16 Says, “This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

                a. We know the devil only has three main weapons:

                         i. Lust of eyes

                         ii. Lust of flesh

                         iii. Pride of life.

Again, it is up to us to follow. We must yield our will unto the will of God. We must listen for His voice and learn to follow as He leads. When he says

move, move. When He says stand still… by all means, stand still. If he speaks a word to you for yourself or another, hide it in your heart or give it to them as He gives it to you. Learn to lean not to your own understanding but unto every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God so that we do not fall to the lust of the flesh.

It says in Proverbs 16:16-18 King James Version (KJV) 16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul. Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

When we allow our flesh to take over it will cause pride to come and we will fall. We must learn to submit our will to the Will of God for our lives.  Less of us More of Him...
