Jesus Is My Everything Week Three

Jesus is My Everything - Week 3

Choose to shake the world or Jesus. When we are called out of the world into His marvelous light and we are born again of the water and the spirit

through repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name and being filled with the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in other tongues, we are then told to go out into the world and be a witness to others of the full gospel of Jesus Christ that they may be saved from their sins as well.

     A. Mark 6:7 says Calling the twelve to him, he began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over impure spirits.

     B. Acts 1:8 says, but ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

     C. Let’s also look at Matthew 5:16 which says, let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

     D. Furthermore, Luke 14:23 says, And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. We know this to be a type and shadow of the Lord sending us out into the highways and byways to seek the lost souls that he longs to have in Heaven.

We are called to be witnesses and we are called to walk in Jesus’ example of seeking to save that which was lost. We are to shake this world for  Jesus and win souls. This is a choice, once again. We must choose to follow Jesus’ example and seek and reach to the lost souls of this world. It is  our choice. There goes that free will again. The Lord knew we would face decisions like this. This is why he told us to make our election and calling

sure…

2 Peter 1:10-11 and I am aware that this book is talking about putting on the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ as previously stated… However, this is where it all begins. When we make our election and calling sure, that means we make up our minds to follow Jesus. We do not shake the world for Jesus by our own means… We do it by the leading of the Holy Ghost and the power that is given us after we are filled with the Holy Ghost. As stated above,

The Bible says in Acts 1:8 Ye shall have power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you. So not only does He call us to be witness to the whole world and He equips us to do so.

That is my Jesus. He will give us all we need to accomplish what He has called us to do.
